Arguably the best online photo sharing website. Basic accounts are free, but their full account is only $24.95 (under £17). There is a very social element to flickr within the groups which cover just about every topic imaginable.
My local camera club which I've just joined. The club meets on Wednesdays every week, 7.30pm to 10pm.
